While the post was aimed to highlight the devastating impact it has had on Meta employees as they received layoff mail, social media users celebrated an Indian’s job loss and wondered why he had such an elaborate plan in place in the US when he was just on a work visa.“It’s weird that he bought an apartment on an H1B, knowing he could be kicked out of the US at any time. That’s weird!” One wrote. One user gave this opinion calling it a sob story H-1B visa Holders need to feel confident that they are one email away from disaster. He took this risk knowing very well the negative aspects of the incident.”Another wrote, “Luckily for them foreign workers have a home country to return to, Americans don’t. That’s it. The temporary visa is a gamble they knowingly made for their families.”“That’s at least 3 Indians less,” celebrated one.
