आरोपियों ने पहली दुकान से करीब 10 हजार रुपये वसूले। इसके बाद वह दूसरी और तीसरी दुकान पर भी पहुंचा और दबाव बनाकर पैसे लेने का प्रयास किया। इसी बीच एक दुकानदार को शक हो गया। उसने अन्य व्यापारियों को बुलाया। सभी ने मिलकर आरोपी से पूछताछ की तो उसकी बातों में विरोधाभास सामने आने लगा। इसके बाद व्यापारी एकजुट हो गए और पूरे गैंग को पकड़ लिया.

मुख्य आरोपी फरार, तीन गिरफ्तार
इस बीच मुख्य आरोपी सरस गुप्ता मौके से फरार हो गया. व्यापारियों ने कुल सात लोगों को पकड़कर पुलिस के हवाले कर दिया। पूछताछ के बाद पुलिस ने कुछ लोगों को छोड़ दिया और सरस गुप्ता समेत चार लोगों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया. पुलिस ने उसके चाचा और दो बाउंसरों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया है।
