Eighth day collection of ‘Bhoot Bangla’
Akshay Kumar starrer Bhoot Bangla has had a solid entry in its second weekend, crossing the Rs 90 crore mark at the domestic box office. However, its first uninterrupted run is now facing competition from Hollywood biopic ‘Michael’.On the eighth day (second Friday), ‘Bhoot Bangla’ collected Rs 5.75 crore nett from 8,573 shows. While this marks a significant increase from Thursday’s collections, the film’s India net collection has reached Rs 90.15 crore after a strong first week collection of Rs 84.40 crore, reports Sacknilk.
‘Bhoot Bangla’ overseas total
In gross terms, the India collection of the film stands at Rs 107.20 crore. Overseas, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ earned Rs 2.50 crore on Day 8, taking its total international earnings to Rs 37.50 crore. This has taken its worldwide gross collection to Rs 144.70 crore so far.
‘Bhoot Bangla’ vs ‘Michael’
The film was undeniably performing well at the box office, however, it faced an unexpected rival with the release of ‘Michael’, the Hollywood biopic on the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. This film starring Jafar Jackson in the lead role surprised everyone by earning a grand total of Rs 3.80 crore on Friday. As per early estimates, the film has an estimated gross of Rs 5.50 crore, with an additional earning of Rs 1.70 crore from its preview shows.Due to this, the film is only Rs 25 lakh behind the collection of ‘Bhoot Bangla’.
