New Delhi: A head constable was caught red-handed CBI Allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.On Monday, CBI raided Shakarpur police station. According to initial reports, the bribe was linked to a molestation case, in which the accused was allegedly asked to pay Rs 50,000 in return for a favorable disposal of the case. However, the amount was reportedly negotiated down to Rs 20,000, following which CBI officials laid a trap and caught the constable in the act.In connection with the same case, a woman sub-inspector, considered the investigating officer, was also called to the police station for questioning. He was interrogated for several hours as part of the ongoing investigation.In a separate case, the CBI on Tuesday also arrested a manager and an investigator of an insurance company in a bribery case. It was alleged that the accused demanded undue favors of Rs 3 lakh from the complainant for reactivating the cashless medical facility for a private hospital in Manesar. In this the complainant had already paid one lakh rupees. Later the total amount was negotiated at Rs 2.6 lakh.
