New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings South African all-rounder Dianne Forrester has been brought in as a replacement for jamie overton For the remainder of IPL 2026, after the England international was ruled out due to a right thigh injury.CSK confirmed the move on Thursday, a day after announcing that Overton would return to the UK for further assessment and management. “Diane Forrester has joined the team in place of Jamie Overton,” the franchise posted on social media.

CSK’s injury problems have increased due to Overton’s exclusion.

Overton had emerged as one of the most influential foreign players for CSK this season. This all-rounder played an important role with the new ball and in the lower middle order, taking 14 wickets and scoring 136 runs in 10 matches.His departure is another blow to a team already struggling with injuries. CSK had earlier signed McNeil Noronha as a replacement for injured all-rounder Ramakrishna Ghosh, while several first-choice players have missed parts of the campaign.The five-time champions also had to play without Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson for a long time, while former captain MS Dhoni has not been able to play so far this season due to a calf problem.
