Hollywood actress Blake Lively made a solo appearance at the Met Gala 2026, hours after settling her multimillion-dollar lawsuit with ‘It Ends With Us’ director Justin Baldoni.She burst onto the red carpet in a multicolored pastel 2006 Atelier Versace gown that was reportedly inspired by Venice’s Rococo paintings and Baroque churches. The actress walked up the iconic stairs alone and waved to the smiling shutterbugs and flashing cameras.Her appearance at the Met came just moments after it was reported that she had settled her years-long legal battle with Baldoni, thus avoiding a costly civil lawsuit scheduled for May 18.In a joint statement through their lawyers, the two said, “Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors – and all survivors – is a goal we stand behind.”“Our sincere hope is that this will bring closure and allow everyone involved to move forward constructively and peacefully, including in a respectful environment online.”The costers, who turned into court adversaries, settled the civil case two weeks before Lively was due to go to trial in New York over claims that Baldoni had conspired with publicists to destroy her reputation after she accused Lively of sexually assaulting her in private on a film set.Baldoni had denied harassing her or running a smear campaign.Monday’s settlement was reached after a federal judge in Manhattan dismissed some of each actor’s claims.Last June, Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed Baldoni’s suit for defamation and extortion. In April, he dismissed Lively’s sexual harassment claims and ruled that she could not sue him under federal law because she was an independent contractor rather than an employee on the film set.In their joint statement, the parties said they believe Lively’s concerns “deserve to be heard” and that they are “firmly committed to ridding workplaces of unfairness and unproductive environments.”
