Kanye West and Travis Scott’s concerts banned in Italy to ‘protect public order and security’
A concert by American rappers Kanye WestThe demonstrators, who were due to demonstrate in Reggio Emilia in northern Italy on July 18, have been banned on public safety grounds, authorities said.

The province’s prefect, Salvatore Angieri, said the decision was made following requests from bodies including the local Jewish community.The statement released on Friday evening said they had “expressed reservations” about the rapper’s appearance as part of the Pulse of Gaia festival.

Another concert by American rapper Travis Scott on July 17 has also been cancelled.

“The decision was taken … considering public order and safety reasons, the final timing of the events, and the large crowds expected within a 24-hour period,” the prefecture said.“The overall assessment also included the cancellation of previous concerts by American rappers in other countries and the concrete risk of retaliatory demonstrations.”
