New Delhi: The condition of Lucknow Super Giants, already out of the playoff race, has worsened. With this win, their number of points increased to 8, but they remained stuck at the bottom position in the table of 10 teams. This defeat was important for CSK, who are still in the race for the playoffs. After the defeat, CSK dropped one place to sixth as their net run rate (NRR) is now lower than Rajasthan Royals, who also have a game in hand. CSK have 12 points from 12 matches, while RR have 12 points from 11 matches.With 11 games left in the league stage, the IPL 2026 standings are led by defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore with 16 points, ahead of Gujarat Titans on a better NRR.Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings are placed third and fourth with 14 and 13 points respectively.Behind CSK and still in the race for the playoffs are Delhi Capitals (10 points) and Kolkata Knight Riders (9 points).Mumbai Indians and LSG are the only two teams who are already out of contention.
