Luke Littler says Prince William may soon enjoy a night out at Alexandra Palace after the two talked about darts during a special meeting at Windsor Castle. The teenage darts star recently received his MBE for services to sport and revealed the Prince of Wales told him the atmosphere at the World Championship in Ely Pally “feels like a good night out”.Littler then joked that if the royal family wanted to attend later this year he would happily help arrange tickets.The 19-year-old from Warrington described the whole experience as surreal. Speaking to the Press Association, Littler admitted he still can’t believe he’s achieving such a huge honor inside Windsor Castle at such a young age. The world number one also talked about the rapid rise of darts and how much attention the game is now getting around the world as he prepares for another big game. Luke Littler said meeting Prince William was one of the craziest moments of his life. The young star said Shahi told him he had been following his career and was impressed by how quickly darts has grown in popularity.“Prince William said he was following the trip and we were just talking about how the darts have burst,” Littler told the Press Association.He added, “He even said it himself that it sounded like a good night out, so maybe we’ll see Prince William at Ally Pally this year! I didn’t invite him, but if he needs some tickets I’m sure I or the PDC can sort them out.”The teen also revealed how strange it felt arriving at Windsor Castle for the ceremony.He said, “Turning up to Windsor Castle, it was just like… ‘How am I here? Why am I here?’. It was a crazy experience.”While enjoying the recognition away from the dartboard, Littler is also focused on the Premier League final. The world number one has faced crowd booing at venues including Liverpool, Brighton, Sheffield and Alexandra Palace in the past year. But he says his answer is simple – keep winning.Littler said, “The only way to deal with it is to keep your head down and win – and that’s what I did.”The reigning world champion will face Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals. If he wins, there could be another final against rival Luke Humphries. The pair have dominated major tournaments recently and have faced off in the last two Premier League finals.“If I can make three finals in a row, I’ll be happy, but I’ll try to beat Gezzi first,” Littler said.
