Maruti Suzuki records highest ever SUV sales: Market share expected to increase
Maruti Suzuki today posted sales results for April 2026, the brand’s best April ever. In the month of April 2026, the carmaker sold 2,39,646 units as total domestic sales also reached a new peak of 1,91,122 units during the month. This represents a sharp increase of over 34% compared to April last year. Additionally, the company also supplied 8,470 units to other OEMs, while exports stood at 40,054 units. This strong growth was driven by new launches like the Victorious as well as strong performers like the Dezire and Baleno.
Apart from total sales, Maruti Suzuki’s SUV sales also reached an all-time high of over 50,000 units in April’26. While the newly launched ICOTY (Indian Car of the Year) winning Victoris brought in new customers, models like Grand Vitara and Brezza continued to perform strongly.
