Operation SindoorThe
Indian Army has released the list of seven Pakistani terrorist camps which were attacked during the operation.
The Army identified terrorist hideouts and posted satellite images showing the damage caused during Operation Sindoor on each of these seven terror hideouts in Pakistan and PoJK. In a post on ADGPI on X, the Army said the operation was “quiet, swift and decisive”. It listed the affected sites as Kotli Abbas, Kotli Gulpur, Mahmuna Joya, Syedna Bilal, Bhimber, Sawai Nala and Sarjal.
After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the armed forces planned military strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoJK. India launched attacks on several terrorist camps on 7 May. Enraged by the killing of hundreds of terrorists in Indian attacks, Pakistan launched retaliatory attacks on India, which were effectively neutralized by Indian defense forces.
India used missiles and stray weapons to target and destroy terrorist camp sites. Apart from terror camps, India also struck Pakistani military installations, including Gulni military base, Noor Khan airbase in Rawalpindi, 12th Corps headquarters in Quetta and Khawajai Camp in Mohmand Agency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Defense Minister
-Rajnath Singh Pays humble tribute to the Defense Forces, whose unmatched valor and indomitable spirit marked Operation Sindoor as a golden chapter in India’s military history, while underlining the unwavering resolve of the PM Modi-led government to eliminate terrorism through decisive action. He said this while addressing the program ‘Shaurya’ organized in New Delhi on Saturday on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor.
Rajnath praised the bravery, dedication and patriotism of the soldiers and said their ethos of nation first and self-service has defined India’s military traditions from ancient times to contemporary operations like Operation Sindoor.
He said the valor of the defense forces extends beyond the battlefield as they provide humanitarian assistance as first responders during natural disasters at home and abroad. “Our soldiers use weapons to protect their people and deliver food and medicines to the needy in times of crisis. This is the defining characteristic of our defense forces,” he said.
