New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that fans will be allowed to attend pakistan super league (psl) 2026 final.Naqvi, who also serves as the country’s interior minister, said on social media that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has “humbly approved” the presence of spectators for the final to be held in Lahore on May 3.The 2026 PSL season was previously played behind closed doors as authorities urged restrictions on public movement due to rising fuel prices linked to the Middle East conflict.Amid the situation, the Pakistan government had advised citizens to limit travel and work from home as part of broader efforts to manage fuel consumption.Naqvi said that while Sharif was keen to allow fans into stadiums, the prime minister also stressed that austerity measures would remain in place across the country to reduce fuel usage.On the cricket front, Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans and three-time champions Islamabad United have already booked their places in the playoffs ahead of next week’s knockout stage.Defending champions Lahore Qalandars, newcomers Hyderabad Kingsmen and Karachi Kings are still battling for the fourth and final playoff spot.
