New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar Acting Chief Minister of Karnataka issued his first public statement after Siddaramaiah Praising the veteran Congress leader’s contribution to the state and signaling continuity in the party’s approach to leadership and governance, he resigned from the post.Shivakumar, who is widely seen as Siddaramaiah’s successor, described the outgoing chief minister’s political journey as “one of the finest reflections” of resilience, tenacity and commitment to social justice.In a detailed message posted soon after Siddaramaiah stepped down, Shivakumar thanked him for his “years of service and leadership to the people of Karnataka” and highlighted the impact of the welfare schemes and developmental initiatives launched during his tenure.Shivakumar said in the opening line of his statement, “God does not give blessings or curses.
