Surya and Pooja Hegde Starring romance drama, directed by ‘Retro’ Karthik Subbaraj It was released in theaters on May 1 last year. As the film celebrates its first anniversary, the actress who plays the subtle role of Rukmini took to her social media handle to celebrate the film and talked about her experience shooting for a few scenes.

Prayer Hegde Revision establishes memories

Pooja Hegde shared old memories of the shooting on social media through her Instagram handle. He posted pictures and videos from the sets of Retro. Her character Rukmini was featured in several scenes in the album. He also shared clips of a ligament rupture, a boat fire and a heavy storm during the shoot. He wrote, “A year of retro storms, torn ligaments, endless mud, a fire in our boat (Suhas forever a hero) and an island full of snakes, by all accounts it should have been chaos, but it wasn’t.“The ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ actress said that the shooting looked very tough from outside, but she felt at peace from inside. The team faced storms, mud fires on the boat, and even snakes on the island. He said that despite all these problems, the atmosphere on the set was full of laughter and fun. Everyone worked with love for cinema.

Hegde thanked director Karthik Subbaraj for trusting him with the role. He also thanked Suriya for his support during the film. Talking about her upcoming film, Pooja Hegde is now preparing for her next Hindi film ‘Hai Jawaani To Ishq Hona Hai’. Directed by David Dhawan, he shares the screen with Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur.The title of the film is inspired by a popular song from ‘Biwi No. 1’ starring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Sushmita Sen. It is set to release on the big screens on June 5, 2026.
