New Delhi: Indian Railways The 100th Vande Bharat train rolled out from the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Rae Bareli on Saturday, marking a major milestone in a journey that began with only two such trains in 2018.Before this 16-coach chair-car trainset is inducted into regular passenger service, the train will undergo oscillation trials to validate the ride quality, safety parameters and dynamic performance.The production of these trains started at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai and has now been extended to the Rail Coach Factory (RCF) at Kapurthala and MCF at Rae Bareli.In an official release, the national transporter said the MCF-built trainsets incorporate significant engineering and performance enhancements aimed at improving reliability and safety.
