New Delhi: The Supreme Court Collegium led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has recommended the names of 10 advocates and judicial officers for appointment as judges of high courts (HC) in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.The collegium, which also includes Justices Vikram Nath and JK Maheshwari, on Tuesday recommended the names of six advocates – Raghavendra Sitaram Srivatsa, Hima Kulkarni, Subramanya Rangarao, Thadagavadi Prakash Vivekananda, Bakkeshwar Pramod and Hombe Gowda Shanti Bhushan – to the Central government for appointment as judges of the Karnataka HC.The names of three senior judicial officers – Chirag Bhanu Singh, Bhupesh Sharma and Yogesh Jaswal – were recommended for appointment as judges of the Himachal Pradesh HC. For Madhya Pradesh HC, the collegium recommended the Center to appoint lawyer Amit Lahoti as a judge. The names were selected by the collegium through several meetings and personal interviews with the candidates. news network
