New Delhi: At the IIT2026 global conference in California, Isha founder Sadhguru said India should be seen “not as a nation, but as a civilization”, which he described as having a long tradition of combining spiritual inquiry with intellectual and scientific activities.Addressing a gathering of over 2,500 attendees, including entrepreneurs and technologists, he talked about the pace of global change and the growing role of artificial intelligence. He said technological progress could limit generational changes to a shorter time frame, allowing greater emphasis on human clarity and stability.Sadhguru also said that although machines can handle data and memory faster, human capabilities must extend beyond information processing. Referring to human systems as “sophisticated technology” he underlined the need to better understand human potential in the context of rapid technological change.The IIT2026 global conference, held from April 22 to 25 at the Long Beach Convention Center, celebrated 75 years of the IIT system and discussed artificial intelligence, innovation, sustainability and global collaboration.
