The $4.16 billion award underscores SpaceX’s close partnership with Golden Dome, which aims to protect the US from attacks through layered defense systems from Earth to space.SpaceX is already under contract to develop prototypes of space-based interceptors for the project and is part of the multi-company software consortium building the operating layer underpinning Golden Dome.
