Anil KapoorThe man who immortalized the role of a common man turned chief minister in Nayak: The Real Hero has made it clear that he has no political ambitions in real life.In a conversation with ABP News, the actor was asked if he would like to step into the role of Chief Minister for a day like his iconic character Shivaji Rao in the 2001 film. Kapoor responded candidly, saying, “I wouldn’t want to be like that at all. I don’t even think about it.”
‘There are far more capable people working than this’
The actor stressed his respect for those in power. He said, “I respect all of them. I think there are many better people who know this work better and are doing good work in all the states and the country.” He said India was “progressing in every way and doing very well.”Kapoor reiterated that the thought of entering politics never occurred to him. He said, “I never thought about it… I don’t even want to think about it.”
‘I will contribute as a citizen’
He said, “On my part, I will always try – as an actor, as a person, as a citizen of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and this planet – to do whatever I can to make things better.”Highlighting the major concerns, Kapoor said, “Be it the environment, climate change, pollution, or spreading happiness and entertainment – whatever is in my capacity, I will try to do.”He concluded by saying that although he has no interest in holding office, he will always support those taking on leadership roles. “If someone is in that job, I would like to contribute whatever I can to make things better.”S.
