Ludhiana: A 21-year-old woman lost three teeth and had her jaw broken when a neighbor cornered her on her terrace and assaulted her for allegedly blocking his phone number.Police have started searching for the suspect. CoronationA bank employee allegedly climbed the neighboring building of the woman to reach her terrace in Prem Nagar area.Investigators said the suspect, originally from Barnala, had befriended the woman after renting a residence nearby. The relationship turned sour when he started pressurizing her to marry him, following which the woman rejected the proposal and blocked his number.She claimed in her police statement that she was collecting clothes on her terrace on May 26 when the suspect attacked her without provocation. He reportedly used an iron Hard, – a traditional heavy metal bracelet – to repeatedly strike him in the face.The attack stopped only after shouting for help, forcing the attacker to flee. Sub-inspector Gurdev Singh said a first information report has been filed under the Indian Justice Code, charging the suspect with house trespass, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.The raid is going on to arrest the suspect.
