In past elections, some have had the overall trend right, while others have been far from the final results.
The last round of assembly elections in five states: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Puducherry and West Bengal offers a useful benchmark.Here’s what exit polls predicted last time for the assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal:
Exit polls in Kerala correctly predicted the victory of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), but underestimated its dominance. According to the average of surveys, the LDF was projected to win around 82 seats, while the United Democratic Front (UDF) was projected to win around 56 seats. यह मामला कड़ा धाम थाना क्षेत्र के वार्ड नंबर 13 माता शीतला नगर का है. जानकारी के मुताबिक, विकास मौर्य ने अपनी बहन प्रीति मौर्य की शादी 13 मार्च 2023 को आबूनगर, फतेहपुर निवासी सौरभ मौर्य से की थी. आरोप है कि शादी के बाद से ससुराल वाले अतिरिक्त दहेज की मांग करने लगे. मांग पूरी न होने पर प्रीति को घर से निकाल दिया गया.
धमकियों और अपमान के बाद उठाया कदम
बताया जा रहा है कि विकास अपनी बहन की शिकायत पुलिस अधीक्षक (एसपी) से करने जा रहा था. इसी दौरान मंझनपुर चौराहे पर उसकी मुलाकात सौरभ मौर्य से हुई, जहां उसे सार्वजनिक रूप से अपमानित किया गया और जान से मारने की धमकी दी गयी. इस घटना के बाद 16 मार्च को विकास कुमार ने फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली. परिजनों का आरोप है कि जीजा की प्रताड़ना और धमकियों से परेशान होकर उसने यह कदम उठाया.
पुलिस पर लापरवाही का आरोप
घटना के एक माह बाद भी मुकदमा दर्ज न होने से परिजन नाराज हैं। मृतक के छोटे भाई विवेक मौर्य की व्हाट्सएप चैट वायरल हुई थी, जिसमें उन्होंने न्याय की गुहार लगाई थी. उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि आरोपियों के खिलाफ कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की गई और वे खुलेआम घूम रहे हैं। इसके अलावा कड़ा धाम थाना प्रभारी पर भी केस दर्ज न करने के गंभीर आरोप लगाए गए हैं.
भाई के गायब होने से चिंता बढ़ गई

दोनों आरोपियों के कब्जे से 5 लाख 40 हजार रुपये नकद, दो तमंचे, कारतूस, एक आधार कार्ड और बिना नंबर प्लेट की एक प्लेटिना मोटरसाइकिल बरामद की गई है।
बस अड्डों और भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों को निशाना बनाते थे
प्रारंभिक पूछताछ में गिरफ्तार आरोपियों ने स्वीकार किया कि वे बस स्टैंड और भीड़-भाड़ वाली जगहों पर यात्रियों के बैग को ब्लेड से काटकर नकदी और आभूषण चुरा लेते थे. चोरी के बाद आभूषण बेचकर मिले पैसे को उन्होंने आपस में बांट लिया और निजी खर्च में इस्तेमाल कर लिया.
उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि 22 अप्रैल को महिला के बैग से चुराए गए आभूषण बेचे गए थे और बरामद नकदी उसी बिक्री से प्राप्त आय का हिस्सा है।

Over 3.2 crore voters are eligible to vote, with 41,001 polling stations under tight security and webcasting surveillance.Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to voters to turn out in record numbers, urging especially women and youth to participate and strengthen democracy.This phase is being considered decisive, including TMC’s traditional stronghold of South Bengal, where it had a dominant position in 2021. For the BJP, gaining ground here remains a serious challenge. The results will be declared on 4th May.
Veteran Indian golfer Vijay Kumar has passed away due to a heart attack in his hometown Lucknow. He was 57 years old.
Winner of the 2002 Indian Open and a four-time Order of Merit champion, Vijay was one of the most accomplished and respected names in Indian professional golf.
Vijay turned professional in 1988. He dominated Indian domestic golf from the mid-1990s to the beginning of the next decade, winning many titles in his illustrious career.
Vijay’s iconic win at the 2002 Indian Open remains a historic moment in Indian golf. He is one of nine Indian golfers to win the Indian Open. Vijay also represented India in the Alfred Dunhill Cup 1999 played in St. Andrews, Scotland.
Widely admired for his skill, consistency, competitive spirit and exemplary conduct, Vijay has inspired generations of golfers and contributed significantly to the development of the game in the country.
