Additionally, according to Kyodo, operations on the Tokyo-Aomori Bullet Train Line were halted following the strong earthquake that struck Japan.The weather agency warned that tsunami waves could reach the northern coast almost immediately. “Immediately evacuate coastal areas and riverside areas to a safe place such as higher ground or an evacuation building,” it said.
