प्रतापगढ़ जिले के अंतू थाना क्षेत्र में हुए सनसनीखेज हत्याकांड में पुलिस को बड़ी सफलता मिली है. एक सप्ताह पहले मंदिर में दर्शन करने जा रहे एक युवक की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई थी, जिसके बाद इलाके में दहशत फैल गई थी. इस मामले में पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए 25 हजार रुपये के इनामी अपराधी विवेक पांडे उर्फ ​​ऋषिक पांडे को मुठभेड़ के बाद गिरफ्तार कर लिया. उनके साथ एक अन्य आरोपी विपिन तिवारी को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया है, जबकि दो आरोपी फरार बताए जा रहे हैं. पुलिस मामले की आगे की जांच में जुटी है.

जानकारी के मुताबिक, एसटीएफ की टीम ने पहले विवेक पांडे और विपिन तिवारी को गिरफ्तार किया और बाद में अंतू थाने को सौंप दिया. पूछताछ में मुख्य आरोपी विवेक पांडे ने बताया कि वह हत्या में प्रयुक्त हथियार बरामद करा सकता है. इसके बाद पुलिस टीम उसे बैजलपुर पुल के पास ले गयी.

हथियार बरामदगी के दौरान मुठभेड़
पुलिस के मुताबिक, मौके पर पहुंचने के बाद आरोपी विवेक पांडे ने अचानक पुलिस टीम को धक्का दे दिया और अवैध तमंचे से फायरिंग कर दी. पुलिस ने आत्मरक्षा में जवाबी कार्रवाई की, जिसमें विवेक पांडे के दाहिने पैर में गोली लगी और वह घायल हो गये. घायल अवस्था में उसे तत्काल जिला अस्पताल प्रतापगढ़ भेजा गया, जहां उसका इलाज चल रहा है।
