BJP national president Nitin Nabin said that BJP will contest the 2027 Uttarakhand assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.Nabeen said the party will project Dhami as the face of the 2027 elections, indicating the BJP’s strategy for the state elections.In an interview with a Hindi news channel, he said the Dhami government has focused on development and governance, referring to administrative transparency and delivery of infrastructure in remote areas. He also said that Uttarakhand has seen progress in recent years, while adding that every state faces challenges.This statement comes amid earlier comments by senior BJP leaders on Dhami’s leadership.During his visit to Dehradun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Dhami’s work. At an event in Haldwani, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described him as a “formidable leader”.During the Haridwar visit, Home Minister Amit Shah also described the policies of the state government as people-centric and expressed confidence in the BJP’s hat-trick victory.
