New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor moved the Delhi High Court on Friday against the publication of an AI-generated deepfake video, which shows him praising Pakistan and making statements on “politically sensitive” issues, and sought protection of his personality rights. After hearing Tharoor’s arguments, Justice Mini Pushkarna issued summons to X and Meta, as well as the Centre, and indicated that she would pass an interim order in their favour. Tharoor said, “I am a former foreign minister. It also matters for India’s reputation…it can be misused by foreign states.”
