खतौली गंगधाड़ी में क्षेत्र के गांव आगे आए। खतौली में आत्मदाह के प्रयास का मामला इलाके में सनसनी मच गई. कथित जाति आधारित अपमान और मारपीट से आहत एक युवक ने खुद पर डीजल डालकर आग लगा ली। गंभीर रूप से झुलसे युवक को तत्काल सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में भर्ती कराया गया, जहां उसका इलाज चल रहा है.

घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और घायलों को तुरंत अस्पताल भेजा गया. मामले की संवेदनशीलता को देखते हुए वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी सक्रिय हो गये.

परिवार में हड़कंप मच गया, पुलिस तुरंत पहुंची और उसे अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया।

घटना 17 अप्रैल की बताई जा रही है, जब थाना खतौली पुलिस को सूचना मिली कि गांव गंगधाड़ी में एक युवक ने अपने ऊपर ज्वलनशील पदार्थ डालकर आग लगा ली है. सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम तुरंत मौके पर पहुंची और घायलों को प्राथमिक उपचार के लिए खतौली सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र भेजा गया.

स्थानीय लोगों के मुताबिक घटना के बाद परिवार में अफरा-तफरी मच गई और आसपास के ग्रामीण भी मौके पर जुट गए.

जाति आधारित टिप्पणी और थप्पड़ मारने का आरोप, विवाद के बाद हुई कार्रवाई

पुलिस जांच में पता चला कि घायल युवक हिमांशु पुत्र बेदू उमर को उसी गांव के टिंकू उर्फ ​​गौरव पुत्र राकेश ने कथित तौर पर गाड़ी में फूल भरने के लिए कहा था। मना करने पर दोनों के बीच विवाद हो गया।

आरोप है कि इस दौरान टिंकू उर्फ ​​गौरव ने जातिसूचक शब्द कहे और हिमांशु को थप्पड़ मार दिया। इस घटना से आहत होकर युवक को गहरा पश्चाताप हुआ और उसने आत्मघाती कदम उठा लिया।

एसपी सिटी अमृत जैन अस्पताल पहुंचे, परिजनों से बात की

घटना की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस अधीक्षक नगर अमित जैन उन्होंने खुद अस्पताल पहुंचकर घायल युवक का हाल जाना। उन्होंने परिजनों से भी बातचीत कर पूरी घटना की जानकारी ली और निष्पक्ष जांच का आश्वासन दिया.

इसके अलावा अधिकारियों ने घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण कर संबंधित पुलिस टीम को आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश भी दिये.

एससी-एसटी एक्ट समेत गंभीर धाराओं में केस दर्ज

पीड़िता की शिकायत के आधार पर पुलिस ने आरोपी के खिलाफ भारतीय न्याय संहिता की धारा 115(2), 108 और एससी/एसटी एक्ट की धारा 3(2)(v) के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है.

मामले में नामजद अभियुक्त टिंकू उर्फ ​​गौरव को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेजने की कार्रवाई की गयी है. पुलिस अधिकारियों का कहना है कि सभी पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखकर मामले की जांच की जा रही है.

पुलिस ने घटना स्थल का निरीक्षण कर साक्ष्य जुटाए

घटना के बाद नगर पुलिस अधीक्षक स्वयं गांव पहुंचे और घटना स्थल का निरीक्षण किया तथा स्थानीय लोगों से जानकारी जुटायी. जांच टीम ने पूरी घटना से जुड़े तथ्यों को संकलित कर आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है.

पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले में उपलब्ध साक्ष्यों के आधार पर निष्पक्ष कार्रवाई की जाएगी.
