Dehradun: UP CM Yogi said in his native village – not only farms, but also culture and heritage are becoming barren due to migration – Dehradun: CM Yogi said migration is not only making farms barren, but also culture and heritage.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed concern over the increasing migration and barren fields in Uttarakhand. He said that migration is not only affecting farming but it is also gradually destroying our culture, traditions and heritage of our ancestors. Yogi Adityanath has reached his native village Panchur to participate in the Shri Vishnu Panchdev Temple Pran Pratishtha program.
He said that due to migration people are moving away from their villages, land and cultural identity. This situation is a matter of serious concern for the future. He called upon the people to save their roots and traditions. Said that from time to time, worship of divine powers and efforts are also necessary so that society and culture remain alive.
He said that the fields which were once full of crops, are today seen covered with bushes. The situation in many villages is such that not even a single grain of food is being produced in the fields. People cite wild animals as the reason for leaving farming, but earlier also there were wild animals in the villages. At that time people were more aware and alert and remained connected to farming and traditions. He advised farmers to adopt new farming options. Said that if wild animals are damaging traditional crops like wheat, paddy and pulses then people should move towards horticulture.
He said that fruits like apricot, peach and kinnow are being successfully produced by Baba Ramdev in Pokhri village near Panchur, which is giving new inspiration to the people of the area. He said that the need of the hour is to repopulate the barren fields. The government is also committed to providing all possible support to the farmers and villagers. Only when the fields will be green, our culture, villages and existence will be safe.
Yogi shared an interesting incident
While sharing an interesting incident related to the construction of the temple, Yogi Adityanath said that at the place where the Vishnu Panchdev temple is built today, earlier a road connecting the villages was being constructed but during the construction work, the JCB machine was repeatedly breaking down. After the continuous incidents, people contacted him and gave complete information.
When he looked at the old map and the history of the place, he remembered that earlier there used to be a temple at that place, where the villagers used to offer prayers and flowers and leaves. After this, he instructed the people associated with road construction to change the direction of the road and the construction work should be done from the south direction.
He also explained to the concerned officials and villagers that this place is associated with divine faith and its seriousness should have been understood the first time the machine broke down. Later, when the villagers and the people associated with the construction work resolved that along with changing the direction of the road, a temple would also be constructed at that place, then the road construction was completed with great ease.
He said that the surprising thing was that after that, neither any machine broke down nor any worker suffered any harm during the construction work. Yogi said that this is a symbol of respect towards our faith, culture and divine powers. He called upon the people to preserve their traditions, shrines and cultural heritage.
Faith in puja jagar has decreased: Yogi
Yogi Adityanath said that in childhood we used to see that Jagar was held in village houses once a year but I have not seen Jagar in the villages for the last many years. It is important to be alert to worship the Gods and Goddesses in village areas and temples and keep them awake. When the Jagar started at 9.30 pm on Thursday night, it seemed that the divine powers had also awakened. He said that the ancient temple of Lord Narasimha has been rebuilt in Panchur village. There should be regular worship in this. Our gods and goddesses should remain alert.
Today we need to stand strong with our leadership. Children like Yogi ji very much. When Yogi ji gives chocolates and biscuits to children, their faces light up. Because of Yogi Adityanath, Yamkeshwar has got a distinct identity on the national stage.
