Chennai: Divya Sathyaraj, DMK IT wing deputy general secretary and daughter of actor Sathyaraj, said TVK supporters threw slippers at her while she was campaigning in Chennai.“When I was campaigning for Thousand Lights MLA N Ezhilan in Nungambakkam on Monday evening, a group of TVK supporters gathered there threw slippers at me. I was completely alert. He also abused me with words that I have never heard in my entire life. “Most of those who abused me were minors,” Divya Sathyaraj told TOI.Recalling the incident, he said that it was horrifying and was the first experience of its kind after joining politics. Divya said, “I did not use any harsh words against TVK president Vijay. I was campaigning about the achievements of the DMK government. Even when I campaigned in Perambur, I was not treated like that.”He urged Vijay to politicize his supporters and respect women. Divya said, “They are speaking ill about women. Even his wife Sangeeta was not spared. He should ask his supporters to stop misbehaving about women.”
