Trump’s young official breaks silence on ‘Sugar Daddy’ scam, says – this is just a sourness in a relationship
Julia Varvaro addresses ‘sugar daddy’ controversy and says she did nothing wrong.
Julia Varvaro, 29, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism at the Department of Homeland Security, broke her silence on the viral ‘sugar daddy’ scandal centered on her. Robert B., a man decades older than Varvaro, complained that she spent $40,000 on him to maintain her high lifestyle. The complaint went straight to DHS where Robert B wrote that he did not want to be a sugar daddy. According to the Daily Mail report, Varvaro was looking for older people on dating apps for her luxury lifestyle. The report said she has a profile on Seeking.com under the name Alessia where she described herself as a woman working for a government agency and offering “seductive sophistication”.Robert B. said Varvaro ended the relationship when Robert refused to spend more on her. Robert said their first date was at the DC outpost of Minetta Tavern where he spent $1,400 and got a kiss in return. They spent the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend together in Aruba; In February the couple went to Italy and Switzerland and spent a lot of money. After returning, Varvaro felt pressured to send $2000 to cover half of his rent due to the DHS closure.Their complaint continued, “She also told me straight out that the $40,000 worth of jewelry on her wrists and ears were trophies from her sugar daddies.” “I believe he is under financial stress and his actions pose a safety risk.”Varvaro reacted to the scandal and said that he did nothing wrong. “We were together in an exclusive relationship. We went on holidays. I don’t know what the problem is,” Varvaro told the Daily Mail. “I didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just a crazy ex-boyfriend talking nonsense. And it’s really weird.”“If we made a story about every failed little relationship in D.C., this city would collapse. I thought it was a great relationship until we worked out, and that’s it,” Varvaro said.
