आत्मरक्षा में की गई जवाबी फायरिंग में तालिब पुत्र मुस्तफा और नाजिम पुत्र बाबू अली घायल हो गए। तीसरे आरोपी पोली उर्फ जुबेर पुत्र इमरान उर्फ मानू को पुलिस ने मौके से गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

मशहूर फिल्म कटी पतंग के राजेश खन्ना, आशा पारेख और कैबरे डांसर बिंदू पर फिल्माया गाना मेरा नाम है शबनम तुम्हारा नाम क्या है… के कुछ सीन भी नैनीताल में फिल्माए गए थे। 1969 में बनी फिल्म ‘बेटी’ के लिए शकील बदायुनी के गाए गाने ‘लहंगा मंगा दे मेरे बाबू आज नैनीताल से’ से नैनीताल को काफी प्रसिद्धि मिली। इसका संगीत सोनिक-ओमी ने दिया था और इसे संजय खान, नंदा पर फिल्माया गया था। इतिहासकार प्रोफेसर अनिल के मुताबिक, रानीखेत में फिल्माई गई फिल्म दिल दे के देखो आशा पारिख, निर्देशक नासिर हुसैन और संगीतकार उषा खन्ना की भी पहली फिल्म थी। इसका गाना यार चुलबुला है… काफी पॉपुलर हुआ था. 1972 में फिल्म हनीमून की पूरी शूटिंग भी रानीखेत में हुई, जिसमें उनका गाया गाना था मेरे प्यासे मन की बहार..
आशा ताई को उत्तराखंड की संस्कृति बहुत पसंद थी
आशा भोसले को उत्तराखंड की संस्कृति बहुत पसंद थी और वह बार-बार यहां आने की इच्छा जताती थीं। वर्ष 2002-03 में उनका अल्मोडा महोत्सव में आने का कार्यक्रम तय था लेकिन स्वास्थ्य कारणों से ऐन वक्त पर इसे रद्द कर दिया गया था। इस कार्यक्रम में उनकी बहन उषा मंगेशकर ने गाने गाए.
गढ़वाली फिल्म के गीत को आवाज दी
आशा भोसले ने गढ़वाली फिल्म ग्वेर छोरा के लिए एक भावपूर्ण गीत जन्मो को साथ छे (जन्मों का एक साथ) गाया। यह गाना हिमालयन फिल्म्स द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया था. यह गाना गढ़वाल के एक साधारण चरवाहे के जीवन को दर्शाता है।
