तेजपाल सिंह की मौत के बाद पुलिस ने उनकी पूर्व पत्नी और उनके पैतृक गांव बिजनौर को सूचना दी. लेकिन उसकी पत्नी ने तलाक का हवाला देकर आने से इनकार कर दिया. ऐसे में अंतिम संस्कार की जिम्मेदारी पूरी तरह से स्थानीय लोगों पर आ गई.

रायपुर थाना क्षेत्र के सुंदरवाला इलाके में एक युवक ने फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। घटना के दौरान उसने अपनी पत्नी और तीन माह की बेटी को कमरे में बंद कर दिया था. घटना के बाद इलाके में सनसनी फैल गई.

मौके पर पहुंचने पर पता चला कि परिजनों ने युवक को फंदे से उतारकर कमरे के फर्श पर लिटा दिया है। तुरंत 108 एंबुलेंस को बुलाया गया, जहां स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों ने जांच के बाद उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।
पुलिस जांच में जुटी

लड़की ने बताया कि जब उसने ड्राइवर से उस शख्स के बारे में पूछा तो उसे सही जवाब नहीं मिला. इसके बजाय ड्राइवर ने ऑटो की स्पीड बढ़ा दी. लड़की का आरोप है कि ड्राइवर शराब के नशे में था और बेहद लापरवाही से गाड़ी चला रहा था. जब उसने ऑटो रोकने को कहा तो ड्राइवर ने उसे नजरअंदाज कर दिया, जिससे उसका डर और बढ़ गया.
जान बचाने के लिए उठाया गया बड़ा कदम
डर और संभावित खतरे को महसूस कर लड़की ने करीब 300 मीटर तक चलती ऑटो में रहने के बाद कूदने का फैसला किया. इस दौरान वह घायल हो गए, लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी जान बचा ली. घटना के तुरंत बाद उसने महिला हेल्पलाइन 112 पर कॉल कर पुलिस से मदद मांगी.
पुलिस की कार्रवाई एवं जांच
मामले की जानकारी मिलते ही सेक्टर-142 थाना पुलिस ने आरोपी ड्राइवर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया. आरोपी ने सफाई देते हुए कहा कि ऑटो में बैठा युवक उसका रिश्तेदार था और किराए को लेकर विवाद हुआ था. पुलिस ने ड्राइवर के खिलाफ लापरवाही से गाड़ी चलाने और अन्य संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है. हालांकि, बाद में आरोपी को जमानत मिल गई।
