Tanisha Mukherjee But he has spoken openly about his experience Bigg BossAdmitting that the way the contestants and even the audience dragged her family into conversations to get attention, the reality show made her more “protective” and had a deep impact. In a recent conversation with Mamarazzi, Tanishaa reflected on why audiences might have viewed her differently during her stint on the show, even if they still remember her fondly.“A lot of people still remember me from Bigg Boss and say things like, ‘Tanisha is very nice, entertaining and honest.’ But definitely in Bigg Boss, I don’t think I spoke that much because I was not very comfortable with the language,” she admitted. The actor revealed that his communication on the show was mostly in English, which often did not make it to air. She said, “It’s embarrassing to say, but most of my conversations were in English, not so much in Hindi. My Hindi now is much better than it was 10-12 years ago. At that time, a lot of my conversations were cut from the show because I spoke in English.”
‘People were using my family name for screen time’
Tanisha also shared that she deliberately avoided fights inside the house as she did not want the reaction to affect her family. She said, “I deliberately decided not to say a lot of things because I didn’t want to get into controversies or places where my family would be adversely affected. Still, people were just looking for reasons to talk about me and my family.”According to the actor, it was only after his exit from the show that he realized how heavily conversations surrounding his family were used as material. “Till I came out of the house, I had no idea that people were using my name, my sister’s name, my brother-in-law’s name just to get screen time. That was my innocence. Today, I will never again put myself in a position where anyone feels they have the right to say anything about my family because of me,” she said.Tanisha said that she never resorted to personally attacking the contestants or bringing up their families during the debate. “I never went up to the camera and said things like, ‘What kind of family does she come from?’ Or evaluated someone’s parenting. To me, a reality show meant that the camera was a voyeur looking into a real place. I always told everyone, ‘I’m not in competition with any of you. “My competition is with Bigg Boss,” he recalled. The actor further admitted that this experience changed him as a person. He said, “That experience definitely made me more cautious because people really went after my family. Even the channel harassed me at times.”She also recalled being upset when questions were raised as to why her family members were not coming to meet her inside the house. “They’d say things like, ‘Why isn’t his family coming to see him at home?’ And I said, ‘You’re paying everyone here. My family members are big personalities. If you’re willing to pay them, they will come. Why should they come for free?’ It’s still a TV show. Everyone is getting paid,” she said.
‘Reality shows survive on trauma’
When asked if the experience was painful, Tanisha agreed without hesitation. “Definitely. Bigg Boss and these reality shows survive on trauma. Even the friendships there are trauma bonds,” she said.“Trust me, once you heal, you realize that those people aren’t really your friends anymore because you’ve recovered from that trauma. Suddenly, you don’t find certain behaviors or conversations interesting anymore,” she adds.Despite the difficult experience, Tanisha said that she believes it shaped her personality and made her stronger. “Things happen in your life that shape who you become. Maybe that phase was meant for me to become this person. Maybe it could have happened differently, maybe it wouldn’t have hurt my family so much, but it happened. And you become stronger, tougher and more alert after that,” she explained.

why did she say yes khatron ke khiladi after bigg boss
Interestingly, after Bigg Boss, Tanishaa participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, she says that the decision came due to her love for adventure rather than fame.“Actually, I did Khatron Ke Khiladi after that, which I enjoyed a lot. Colors had approached me for Jhalak at that time too, but I didn’t do it because I thought it would be the same kind of place again,” he shared. She said, “But Khatron Ke Khiladi was different. I love thrills, crazy stunts, bungee jumping, skydiving – I’ve done it all. So I was excited to try it.”Tanisha described the experience of stunt-based reality shows as much more positive. “I worked in Khatron Ke Khiladi two years after Bigg Boss and I really enjoyed it. I also got really fit after the show. It was a group of crazy, fun, crazy people and we had a great time,” she said.Opening up about why she initially turned to reality television, Tanisha admitted that she hoped it would help audiences see her beyond the image associated with her film career. She said, “With Bigg Boss, I was in a situation in films where I was not getting the kind of roles I wanted. It felt like this was something that could break people’s perception of me. I was coming from a very protected and safe environment, so I thought maybe people should know who I really am.”However, he said that reality TV did not necessarily change the direction of his career. He concluded, “Going to Bigg Boss didn’t suddenly give me films. It proved that it doesn’t really work like that.”
