एसटीएफ उत्तराखंड की ओर से जारी सूचना के मुताबिक, एंड्रॉइड गॉड मोड नाम का एक बेहद खतरनाक मैलवेयर तेजी से फैल रहा है, जो मोबाइल यूजर की पूरी डिवाइस को अपने कब्जे में ले सकता है। जांच में पता चला है कि यह मैलवेयर खुद को एसबीआई योनो, लाइफ सर्टिफिकेट, आरटीओ चालान और फर्जी ग्राहक सहायता ऐप के रूप में पेश करता है।

एपीके फ़ाइल को उपयोगकर्ता को एक लिंक भेजकर या व्हाट्सएप के माध्यम से डाउनलोड किया जाता है। इंस्टॉल होते ही यह ऐप एक्सेसिबिलिटी सर्विस की अनुमति मांगता है और अनुमति मिलते ही यह फोन का पूरा कंट्रोल अपने हाथ में ले लेता है। खतरनाक बात यह है कि इसे हटाना भी मुश्किल है। यह वायरस बिना किसी आइकन के फोन में छिपा रहता है और हटाए जाने पर दोबारा इंस्टॉल हो जाता है। एक्सपर्ट्स के मुताबिक, इसे दूर करने के लिए फोन को सेफ मोड में रखना और संदिग्ध ऐप्स को डिलीट करना जरूरी है।
