Indian man reveals ‘scariest’ question asked by officer during interview

'20 students were refused visas in front of me': Indian man reveals 'most dangerous' question asked by officer during interview
Hari Krishna Trivedi from Ahmedabad reveals F-1 visa interview details at Mumbai Consulate.

An Indian student reveals his recent experience in getting an F-1 visa at the Mumbai Consulate as he plans to pursue master’s at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Hari Krishna Trivedi from Ahmedabad recounted in a YouTube interview how he saw every one of the 20 applicants ahead of him get rejected for no particular reason.Trivedi said he was surprised to see how the visa officers gave only a few seconds to the candidates and as soon as they started to introduce themselves, they were stopped and told that their visa applications had been rejected. It seemed that visa officers already knew that they would reject applications from candidates even before they arrived at their windows. After seeing candidates being rejected after barely speaking six words, he said he was mentally prepared that he too would be rejected. It was almost lunch time and candidates who went to better schools faced rejection.Trivedi said that when he arrived for the interview, he was the last person in the queue and was asked to introduce himself like others. Midway through his introduction he was stopped and the visa officer asked him who was sponsoring him. Trivedi said he was stunned for a moment by the suddenness of the question but informed the visa officer that his father, who owns a business, was funding his education through loans. Then the visa officer asked them about their future plans – this is considered the scariest question. Trivedi said he clearly informed the visa officer that he wanted to pursue master’s in the US to gain skills and then join his father’s business in India. He told the visa officer that his father’s business was in the healthcare sector and he wanted to study AI in healthcare.Trivedi said he was handed a 221(G) form to declare all his social media accounts and he could not believe that his visa was granted by the same officer who had rejected at least 20 applications before him.

There are still 7 matches left, SRH and GT have qualified; Odds for finishing last – explained for each team

IPL 2026 Playoff Qualification Scenario: 7 matches left, SRH and GT to qualify; Odds for finishing last – explained for each team
SRH beat CSK by 5 wickets (IPL Photo)

New Delhi: With 7 games remaining in the league stage of IPL 2026, LSG and MI are already out of the playoff race. RCB, GT and SRH have now qualified. RR is ranked best among others followed by PBKS. KKR, DC and CSK are still in the mix but their chances are slim. There are now 128 possible combinations of results, so nothing is certain yet for any of the five left in the race. We look at the possibilities:

  • RCB are now certain to qualify and at least be tied at No. 1 on points. Their worst-case scenario is a three-way tie for first place with GT and SRH

  • SRH’s win over CSK on Monday means that both SRH and GT have qualified and there is a 75% chance for both of them to finish at least tied for second place.

  • RR have a 43.8% chance of finishing in the top four in terms of points and they can still finish in a three-way tie for second place with SRH and GT, but there is only a 6.3% chance of that

  • PBKS can finish fourth with maximum chances (28.1%) or KKR (10.9%).

  • KKR’s chances of making the last four, singly or jointly, are now 20.3% and if they tie for the last spot it will be with PBKS.

  • DC’s chances of making the final four, singly or jointly, are now 18.8%. Their best case is only fourth (3.1%)

  • CSK’s best case after Monday’s defeat is fourth place with RR or DC or both and even that has only a 14.1% chance

How we arrive at the probabilities: There are 128 possible combinations of outcomes with 7 games remaining. For each team, we looked at how many of them, individually or jointly, finish in the top four. We also looked at how many combinations put each team in the top two, singly or combined. For example, RCB remained No. 1 in terms of points in all 128 possible combinations of match results, as sole leaders in some of them and joint leaders in others.

‘I should never have ignored it’

Mum-of-two diagnosed with bowel cancer aged 38 after ignoring one symptom: 'I should never have ignored it'

For a long time, people thought that bowel cancer was primarily a problem for older people, something you would only start worrying about once you retired. But that is changing. Doctors everywhere are on alert as more young adults are getting colorectal cancer. The scariest part of the story? Many people simply dismiss the symptoms as stress, diet-related problems or regular stomach troubles.Take Laura, a 38-year-old mother of two. He never thought that he could get intestinal cancer at this age. Her story has gone viral online, not because it’s dramatic, but because the symptom she ignored is the one experts warn about the most.Let’s take a closer look.

Laura’s story of being diagnosed with bowel cancer: what happened?

According to the Daily Express, Laura was diagnosed last June. Since then, she has undergone four rounds of chemo and originally documented her journey on TikTok, where she has over 18,000 followers. In a video, she opens up about the symptom she ignored thinking it was “normal.” Looking back, she captioned it, “I would have done things very differently.” His biggest regret? Not listening to my body.

What did Laura ignore?

Laura noticed blood in her stool but thought it was just hemorrhoids or a minor stomach bug. She was busy, tired, and believed cancer was something only older people needed to worry about. By the time she decided to get tested, she was told she had stage 3 bowel cancer. This shock changed everything.“I was always tired and thought, ‘This is normal,'” Laura said. It’s not hard to add; Anyone dealing with work and small children probably feels exhausted. She added, “I have very young children, I’m working, I never stop – I’ll be exhausted. But really my body was trying to tell me, ‘Hey, something is wrong.’

His biggest regret?

Don’t rush to his GP. She wonders whether catching it earlier would have helped her avoid chemo altogether.Even now, Laura says, “Really, it was the only sign my body gave me that I had cancer, and I think a lot of us feel tired often.”

Why do doctors say it matters?

Right now, rising rates of colorectal cancer among young adults is worrying health experts everywhere, according to the CDC. No one is entirely sure why these numbers are rising, but one thing is clear: Diagnosis is delayed because people ignore symptoms. For Laura, the first red flag was blood in her stool. Like many others, he shrugged it off rationally: hemorrhoids, stress, maybe a little digestive disorder. She didn’t feel immediately sick, just tired. There was no collapse, no dramatic emergency, no pain you’d see in a movie – just a symptom she kept dismissing. And that’s what makes bowel cancer so secret. Symptoms may be subtle, easily missed, or mixed with something much less dangerous. People wait, hope it will pass, then months go by.The NHS lists blood in the stool, changes in bowel habits, stomach pain, unexplained fatigue, bloating and unexplained weight loss as common symptoms. Doctors say blood in the stool always needs to be watched closely, especially if it keeps happening or you notice other changes.A recent study in JAMA Network Open Confirmed signs that young colorectal cancer patients have often missed for centuries – misdiagnosed, ignored, or ignored.Laura’s advice? If you feel tired and can’t get rid of the fatigue no matter how much sleep you get, “please take this as a sign and get your blood checked.” Talk to your GP and get to the bottom of it.“And for God’s sake, if they tell you you are suffering from anemia, please get a FIT test.” (This is a fecal immunochemical test, which looks for blood in your stool, which is a major marker for bowel cancer.)

Why is ‘too small’ no longer true?

Many young cancer patients describe this strange feeling of denial when symptoms appear: “I’m too young to have cancer!” It makes sense, but it’s outdated. Although bowel cancer affects older people more, earlier diagnoses are occurring so much that the age for screening is decreasing. In the US, routine screening now starts at 45 instead of 50.Most digestive complaints are still just that: complaints. But the danger lies in repeatedly ignoring persistent symptoms. Blood in your stool, changes in bathroom habits, persistent stomach discomfort, unexplained tiredness, don’t just wait and hope.

What happens after diagnosis?

Laura opened up about how shocking it was to be diagnosed with bowel cancer while balancing children and daily life. Young patients often say that cancer is extra confusing because it comes at a stage when you have to make your own life, not just manage hospital appointments.Treatment depends largely on when you are diagnosed. Early stage cancer is much easier to treat, sometimes with surgery alone. Later stages may mean chemo, radiation, immunotherapy, or a longer hospital stay. That’s why awareness campaigns focus on timing rather than fear. Doctors want people to notice symptoms early and take action. This makes a huge difference.

“Crocodiles are easy. They try to kill and eat you. People are tough. Sometimes they pretend to be your friends at first.”

Quote of the Day by 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin:
Steve Irwin (Image: Wikipedia)

People often remember Steve Irwin for his huge smile, endless energy, and his way of standing close to animals that most people would immediately run away from. For many viewers, he was not just a television personality. They had a way of making dangerous wild animals look cute rather than scary. Crocodiles, snakes and wild animals that usually instilled fear suddenly became creatures that people wanted to understand. That’s partly why this quote catches attention so quickly. It seems ridiculous on first reading because the comparison itself seems unexpected. A man famous for handling crocodiles naturally has a smile on his face when he says that it is more difficult for people to do the job. There is also a small setback in this. Crocodiles and friendship do not usually come into the same idea. Then people read the quote again.“Crocodiles are easy. They try to kill and eat you. People are tough. Sometimes they pretend to be your friends at first.”Interestingly, the tone of the quote changes during the second reading. The humor remains there, but another emotion quietly emerges beneath it. Suddenly, the quote stops being about crocodiles altogether. It begins to become a commentary about trust, disappointment, and the strange complexities that sometimes arise in human relationships. This change may explain why people continue to share it years later. The first part makes people laugh. The second part makes them think about something.

today’s thought By ‘crocodile hunter‘Steve Irwin

“Crocodiles are easy. They try to kill and eat you. People are tough. Sometimes they pretend to be your friends at first.”

What is the meaning behind Steve Irwin’s quote?

This quote seems to focus on something quite simple but surprisingly familiar. Animals generally behave according to their instincts. The crocodile does not hide its intentions. It doesn’t pretend to be harmless while planning something else. People understand the danger because the danger is visible.Human relationships often work differently. People don’t always reveal what they think. Sometimes they hide emotions. Sometimes they have hidden intentions. In some situations, people may present one version of themselves while feeling something completely different underneath. That difference creates uncertainty. Humans generally feel comfortable in situations they understand. Physical danger may seem frightening, but emotional uncertainty is sometimes more complicated because people cannot always predict it.It appears that Steve Irwin is using the crocodiles to make a bigger point. The quote does not necessarily imply that people are bad. It appears that understanding people can sometimes be difficult because emotions, motives, and personal interests are not always on the surface where everyone can see them.

Why does disappointment often hurt more than people expect?

One interesting thing about trust is that people build it gradually without paying attention to the process by which it occurs. Generally no one decides to trust someone completely in a single moment. It is through conversation, shared experiences and general conversation that gradually builds familiarity. That’s why disappointment can feel heavier than expected. The pain often comes by surprise rather than by incident. Someone thought they understood a relationship. Someone believed they knew a person. Then reality suddenly changes in a different direction. Many people probably recognize that feeling immediately because almost everyone experiences small versions of it during life. This can happen through friendships, workplaces or general situations where a person becomes different from who they used to be.The hard thing is that trust also involves risk. People cannot form meaningful relationships without being vulnerable in some way. Yet insecurity also creates the possibility of disappointment. This paradox has probably existed as long as human relationships themselves have existed.

Why do animals sometimes seem easy to understand?

People who spend time around animals often say similar things. Animals generally communicate in a direct manner. Fear looks like fear. Excitement looks like enthusiasm. Aggression usually manifests itself clearly as well.Humans are much more layered than that.People constantly change their behavior depending on the circumstances. They behave differently with family members, coworkers, close friends, and strangers. Some of those adjustments are completely normal because social life itself requires flexibility. The difficulty begins when people stop showing honesty and start showing only what they think others want to see. This creates confusion because appearance and reality no longer match exactly.Steve Irwin spent most of his life studying animal behavior, so his observations seem particularly interesting. Someone who has spent a lot of time around creatures deemed dangerous by society is suggesting that sometimes it seems easier to understand the anticipated threat than the hidden intentions. There is irony in that idea. This is enough.

Looking Beyond Television Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin became known around the world crocodile hunterBut many people mainly remember the excitement and energy they saw on screen. His enthusiasm often became the center of attention.Yet, there was much more going on beneath that public image.Steve Irwin cared deeply about conservation and education. He wanted people to understand wildlife instead of fearing it. Much of his work focused on changing people’s thinking about animals and their environment. That background makes this quote all the more interesting because it comes from someone who has spent years building relationships not only with people but also with animals that most individuals avoid altogether.Perhaps spending so much time observing behavior also gave him a different perspective on human nature.People who spend their lives looking closely often notice things that others miss.

Other famous quotes from Steve Irwin

  • “If we save our wild places, we will ultimately save ourselves.”
  • “I believe our biggest issue is habitat destruction.”
  • “All the money we make from Crocodile Hunter goes straight into conservation.”
  • “If I have to save an animal I have no fear of losing my life.”
  • “Where I live, if someone hugs you it’s from the heart.”

Why does this quote still connect with people today?

Some quotes remain popular because they sound beautiful. Others stick around because they feel uncomfortably familiar. Steve Irwin’s words probably belong to the second category.People read the quote and immediately think of personal experiences. Perhaps they remember a friendship that changed unexpectedly. Perhaps they remember discovering that someone was not being completely honest. The details vary, but the sentiment itself remains recognizable.Perhaps that’s why this quote continues to circulate in conversations even years later. It starts with crocodiles and humor, but ends quietly somewhere else. This culminates in a part of life where people learn that understanding animals sometimes seems simpler than understanding each other.
