पुलिस के अनुसार चालक सुल्तान अपने घर से रूड़की की ओर जा रहा था। इसी दौरान रास्ते में गाड़ी अचानक अनियंत्रित हो गई और बिजली के खंभे से टकरा गई।

शुरुआती जांच में हादसे के पीछे ब्रेक फेलियर या तकनीकी खराबी होने की आशंका जताई जा रही है।

पुलिस ने तत्काल क्षतिग्रस्त वाहन व गिरे पोल को हटवाया।

दीपक कुमाररूड़की कस्टम चौकी प्रभारी ने बताया कि हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंच गई थी। सुरक्षा के मद्देनजर सड़क पर गिरे पोल और बिजली के तारों को तत्काल हटा दिया गया।

इस कार्रवाई से सुबह होने वाली संभावित यातायात बाधा को समय रहते दूर कर लिया गया।

तेज रफ्तार बनी हादसे की मुख्य वजह

नोडल अधिकारी नियुक्त, कर्मचारियों की भागीदारी जरूरी
जिलाधिकारी ने सभी विभागों में नोडल अधिकारी नियुक्त करने के निर्देश दिये। यह भी स्पष्ट कर दिया गया कि सभी सरकारी कर्मचारियों को स्व-गणना में भाग लेना अनिवार्य होगा। अधिकारियों से कहा गया कि वे अपने विभाग के कर्मचारियों को इस प्रक्रिया के बारे में जागरूक करें और समय पर जानकारी भरवाएं।
